Yvonne M. (Mortenson) Herdman

Yvonne M. Herdman, 70, longtime Cohasset resident, died Saturday, December 10, 2022, in her home.

Born March 8, 1952, in Minneapolis, MN, she was the daughter of Herbert and Marie (Buntjer) Mortenson.  Yvonne attended Grand Rapids schools, was married to Robert “Boomer” Herdman, and lived most of her life in Cohasset.

Yvonne was well known in the Cohasset and Grand Rapids communities, after nearly 50 years in customer service and retail management.  She often treated her work as her social life, making life-long friends of many frequent customers.

Survivors include her husband, “Boomer;” sons, Darin Dorholt of Sauk Rapids, MN and Ryan (Anna) Quigg of Springfield, MO; stepsons, Robert (Beth) Herdman, III of Hermantown and Jeffrey (Tabbatha) Herdman of Spang Township.; six grandchildren;  three brothers, Herb, Marv, and Don; and numerous nieces and nephews.

At Yvonne’s request, there will be no formal service.  There will be a gathering of family and friends in the Locker Room in Coleraine from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, December 16, 2022.  Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine.
