William "Hot Spocks" Papberg

William “Hot Spocks” Papberg, 75 of Grand Rapids, MN died on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, in his home.

          Born on June 24, 1946, he was the son of Bernard and Aileen (Mattson) Papberg. He grew up in Taconite and lived for many years in the Duluth area, graduating from the Greenway High School. He was an electronic wizard and loved working on electronics, televisions and tube type speakers. He also enjoyed fixing cars, and traveling the U.S., where he spent time in San Diego and New Orleans.

          He was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson; Josah Papberg.

          Survivors include his children; Siri and Crystal Papberg, his honorary daughter; Dina (Travis) Roush, his lifelong friend; Neil Fenner and Honorary Grandchildren; John, Brooke and Dominik Roush.

          There will be a gathering of family and friends from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM on Thursday, June 9, 2022, in the Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine.
