William J. Patza

          William J. Patza, 82 of Grand Rapids, MN died on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, in his home.

          Born on January 19, 1940, in Sturgeon Bay WI., he was the son of Joseph and Glenice (Simon) Patza. He was an electrician, working in construction. He left high school to enroll in the coast guard, where he served 2 years. He met Isobel Cleland in Door County in Sturgeon Bay, they married in 1962, and the rest is history. He was a member of the I.B.E.W Union. He loved to do the job and work with his hands. He was also a talented carpenter, who enjoyed using his tools, and he built their home in Cohasset, MN. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman.

          Survivors include his wife Isobel, his grandchildren; Natalie, Isabel and Olivia Polinsky, son-in-law; Gary Polinsky, siblings; Ann Patza and Roger Patza, and many nieces and nephews.

          He was preceded in death by his daughter; Elizabeth Patza and siblings; Kenneth Patza, Sharon Adams and Robert Patza.

          Service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the First United Church of Coleraine and Bovey.
