Toivo E. Kujala, 84, lifelong Trout Lake area resident, died Monday, December 6, 2021, in the Grand Itasca Hospital, Grand Rapids.
Born July 17, 1937, in rural Bovey, he was the son of Eino and Ilene (Johnson) Kujala. Toivo was a 1955 graduate of Greenway High School, had been a saw sharpener for the Blandin Paper Company, and attended the Alliance Church in Grand Rapids.
His parents and an infant daughter preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine; children, Erv, Bob, and Jim (Donna) Kujala; stepchildren, Robert, Linda, Sherry, and Bill; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sisters, Alice Olson and Norma Long.
There will be a gathering of family and friends at a later date. Interment will be in the Trout Lake Community Cemetery.
