Thomas Anthony Paul, 84, of Calumet passed away August 31st.
Born May 1938 in St Paul, he was the 5th of 8 children born to Nellie and Venus Paul. Tom grew up in St Paul, graduating from Harding High School in 1956. He married in 1957 and raised 5 children in Newport, while working for American Hoist and Derrick as first a core maker and then a Foreman before the company closed. He went on to drive school bus for several years in the Twin Cities before relocating to Calumet MN, where he continued as a bus driver for several more years.
A quick witted charmer with a never ending sense of humor, Tom was intelligent, kind, generous and good natured. “Don’t sweat the small shit.” was a motto he lived by. He loved fishing, dogs, a good cup of coffee with danish and to BS about anything and everything.
Survived by his significant other (and partner in crime, nurse, bookkeeper, friend, confidante and life saver) Karleen Rossell, daughters Debra, Michelle, Teresa and Kelly, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son Mark.
He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the 12:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, September 8, 2022 in St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Nashwauk, MN. Interment will be in the Warba Cemetery.
