Susan D. Campbell, 67, longtime Lawrence Lake area resident, died on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 in her home surrounded by her family.
Born February 6, 1950 in Blue Earth, MN, she was the daughter of Gordon and Beverly (Weber) LaMont. She attended Grand Rapids schools and had been an Itasca County resident for 56 years. Susan and Donald L. Campbell were married on March 16, 1967 in South Dakota. Susan had been a home maker and a dairy and beef farmer. She enjoyed gardening, bonfires, rummage sales, dancing, and 50’s rock & roll.
Her parents, Gordon and Beverly LaMont and her grandmother, Lucille Spencer preceded her in death.
She will be missed by her husband, Donald; children, Donna Johnson of Grand Rapids, Beverly Campbell of Keewatin, Steven (Jessica) Campbell of Lawrence Lake, and Brian (Amanda) Campbell of Balsam; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; siblings; Barb, Bonnie, Linda, Diane, Steven, Marsha, Peggy, and Penny; her best friend, Mary Thoennes; and her beloved pups, Gracie, Penny, and Buddy.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
