Obituary

          Shawn Wayne McWilliams 66, Coleraine, Lost his battle with cancer on Friday August 11, 2023 at home.

          Born July 9, 1957 in Grand Rapids, he was the son of Russell G. and Marie E. (Watt) McWilliams.  Shawn was a Greenway High School graduate, had been an installer for Midway Homes, and owned and operated the Midway Court.  Shawn loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter.

          His parents, Russell and Marie McWilliams and sister Judy (Jack) Gillis preceded him in death.

          Survivors include his children from previous marriage, Rebecca Cooper and James Johnson; grandchildren, Dan Johnson, Dejah and Dain Cooper; siblings Jeanne Evanoff, Mindy (Dave) Klebe, Russ McWilliams; Nieces and Nephew, Chris (Matt) Beaudette, Angela Klebe, Andrew (Gretta) Klebe. Close friends, Zachary (Amy) Cooper Harrington.

          There will be a celebration of life gathering for Shawn from 3:00~5:00 on Sunday, August 20, 2023 in Long Year Park in Coleraine.  Interment will be in the Nashwauk Cemetery.

          Arrangements are with the Peterson Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services of Coleraine.
