Scott A. Anderson, 60, Grand Rapids, died Friday, October 25, 2024, in his home, surrounded by his family.
Born January 15, 1964, in Minneapolis, he spent his early years in Alexandria and had been a resident of Itasca County since 1975. He was a 1982 graduate of Greenway High School and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota - Duluth. He had been an employee of the Blandin Paper Company and was a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.
His mother, Rachel Rupert; his stepfather, Jerry Rupert; his grandmother, Phyllis Peck; a grandson, Ricky Lind; and his beloved golden retrievers, Bo dog and Jake, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his sister, Tracey Schwartz; her daughter, Jennifer (Justin) Whirley; brother, Greg (Barbie) Rupert; his life partner, Kris Guyer; her children, Brina Guyer and Jamison (Cassie) Guyer; their grandchildren, Kylah, Maddy, Ellie, and J.J.; and great grandson, Brady; his uncle, Dan Schermerhorn; and his aunt, Cristella Makinen.
Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until the 1:00 PM funeral service on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, in the Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine. Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery of Coleraine. Arrangements are with the Peterson Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services of Coleraine.
