Roger Leroy Benson

          Roger L. Benson, 82, longtime Marble resident, died on Thursday, July 12, 2018 in the Fairview – Range Medical Center, Hibbing.

          Born April 17, 1936 in Deer Creek, MN, he was the son of Alex and Minnie Benson.  A Marble resident for the past 34 years, he was a master fisherman, hunter, builder, and wonderful friend to all who knew him.

          His parents; one brother; and one sister preceded him in death.

          Survivors include his significant other, Shirley Diffin; children, Mike (Debbie) Benson of Moorhead, MN, Tammy Defiel of Fergus Falls, MN, Tim (Sue) Benson of Andover, MN, and Jeff Benson of Fergus Falls, MN; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

          Visitation will be 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service on Monday, July 16, 2018 in the Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine.  Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine.
