Robert A. Erickson

          Robert A. Erickson, 84 of Bovey, died on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 in St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.

          Born on April 1, 1934 in Calumet, MN, he was the son of Reuben and Veronica (LaDoux) Erickson. He married Shirley Lepisto on September 9, 1953 in Long Beach, CA. He was a welder at J&L Steel/LTV, was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in Korea. His favorite pastime was welding, but also enjoyed gardening, splitting and cutting wood, hunting and fishing.

          Survivors include his children; Bobbie (John) Carlson of Marble, Mn, Gary Erickson of Taylor, ND, Dan Erickson of Marble, Mn and Brent (Mikki) Erickson of Bovey, MN. 8 Grandchildren; Casey (Sam) Carlson, Jennifer (Pete) DeNucci, Jesse (Melissa) Erickson, Chad Erickson, Corey Erickson, Drew (Angie) Erickson, Tyler (Hailey) Erickson and Allyson Erickson. 10 Great-grandchildren; Dylan, Ezra, Beau, Drake, Sophia, Maxx, Ivoree, Austin, Levi, Braxton and one in the oven.

          He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Shirley in 2009.

          Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until the 1:30 PM Funeral Service on Friday, April 6, 2018 in the Peterson Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine.
