Richard Payfer

                   Richard Payfer, 97, passed away November 22, 2025, at Oak Hill Assisted Living facility.

                   Known lovingly as “Papa Bear”, Richard was a man blessed with many gifts and talents. Music was a big part of his life, singing and playing his harmonica. He enjoyed many hobbies including basket weaving, woodworking, stained glass and swimming. Mostly, he loved the Lord and lived his life in service to others.

                   Preceding him in death were his wife Donna, parents; Rev. Willis and Louise, and two brothers.

                   Richard is survived by his children Susan (Dick), Richard (Sandy), Holly (Bill) Bonnie (Cal), and their families, including 11 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter, a sister Ann, and many other relatives and friends.

                   A memorial service will be held at a later date.
