Regine O. (Olson) Domish

Regine Olga Domish 86 of Coleraine, died on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the Pillars

in Grand Rapids, MN. Regine was born in Bemidji on July 19, 1938, to Ingolf and Lydia

(Gladen) Olson. She graduated from Bemidji High School. She continued her education at

Bemidji State University, graduating with her Elementary and Special Education degrees.

Regine married Michael Domish on December 31, 1960, at St. Phillips Catholic Church in

Bemidji. She taught in the Greenway School District, for many years, retiring in 2000.

Regine was a member of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church. She enjoyed the outdoors,

her flowers, fishing with family, playing piano, music, reading, sewing and doing crossword puzzles.

She was not particularly fond of cooking and baking. She was an active YMCA member for decades.

Her time was dedicated to her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

She loved to travel. Proud of her Norwegian heritage, Regine with her son, Mike, traveled

to Norway to meet her family and visit her dad’s childhood home.

Preceded in death by her parents; her son, Michael Lee Domish and infant daughter,

Deanna K. Domish.

Survivors include her husband Michael, her daughters; Reisa Varin and Christine (Troy)

Miller, grandchildren; Derek Varin, Mitchell Mann, Nicholas Mann, Zachary Mann,

Hannah Domish and Brooke Domish. A brother; Gordon (Joel) Olson, brother-in-law;

Larry (Margaret) Domish and cherished nieces, nephews and many cousins.

            Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial on

Friday, June 6, 2025, at the Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Coleraine.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to staff at the Pillars of Grand

Rapids who became like family to her, as well as St Croix Hospice for their guidance and

compassion.
