Oscar A. Munson, 81, formerly of Washburn, WI, died Monday, July 4, 2022, in Home and Comfort, Coleraine, of natural causes, surrounded by his family.
Born December 1, 1940, in Winston Salem, NC, he was the son of Samuel and LaVern (Hanson) Munson. Oscar grew up in Sheboygan, WI, lived his adult life in Washburn, WI, and retired to Bovey. He graduated from Central High School in Sheboygan attended Madison Technical College, had been a teacher for the Indianhead Technical College, had owned and operated the Time Out Restaurant in Washburn, WI, and had been a member of the Elks Club in Ashland, WI.
His parents, Samuel and LaVern Munson and his twin brother, Edwin Munson preceded him in death.
Survivors include his children, Janelle (Phil) Dixon of Hudson, WI, Cheryl (Craig) Parks of Washburn, WI, and Michelle (Dave) George of Bovey, MN; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a brother, Niles (Beverly) Munson of Richfield, MN.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Washburn, WI.
