Michelle "Shelli" Veo, 63, Marble passed Saturday, January 28, 2023 in the Grand Itasca Hospital after many years of battling health issues, with her daughter and grandson holding her hands.
Born December 23, 1959, in San Fransisco, CA, she was the daughter of Dale & Susan (Brown) Veo. Shelli attended school in Solway and Bemidji, later going on to earn her AA at Itasca Community College, where she was on the Dean's List. During her young adult years, she lived in central Florida, moving to Marble, MN in 1986, where she resided until death. In recent years, she had split her time between Marble and Sterling, Alaska. Shelli had many jobs over the years, but she was known for her carefree spirit and generosity, as well as love of family, friends, and animals. You were always welcome to join her on the porch swing for food and conversation. She was known as "Gam-Gam" to her grandkids as well as the Marble Boys. During her battle with cancer, she touched many more lives with her determination and strength.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Melissa, and stepfather, Orv Hoffman.
Her spirit lives on with her daughter, Melanie (Wade) Magnuson; grandchildren, Brandon (Heather) McNamara-Wayrynen, Tyler (Karista Trocke) McNamara, Faith (Jake Armstrong) McNamara, Alanna Krogerson, Marvin Krogerson III, and Benjamin Magnuson; great-granddaughter, Alaya; siblings, Mike, Mitch (Terry) Veo, Mat Veo, Valerie (Aron) Teppo, and Stephanie (Justin) Schuster; special friend, Harry Johnson; and pets Yobi, an Amazon Parrot and Snowball.
A celebration service will be held this summer.
