Mary Staydohar Obituary
Mary Staydohar (Shevich), age 86, passed away April 18, 2017 with family by her side. She was a longtime resident of Calumet, MN, currently residing at Majestic Pines.
Mary was born March 24, 1931 in Grand Rapids, MN to Peter and Draga Shevich. Mary resided in Calumet for 70 years, and was a graduate of Greenway High School. On January 9, 1954, she married John Staydohar. They were happily married for 60 years, before John’s passing in 2014. The joys in Mary’s life were her family, fishing, reading and playing aggravation.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, and brothers Pete and Sam.
Survivors include her children; Tom Staydohar of Grand Rapids, Bob “Fuzzy” (Ruth Thouin) Staydohar of Cohasset, Jane (Mike) Hendricks of Rhinelander, WI, John Staydohar and daughter-in-law, Lori Staydohar, both of Marble. 11 Grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 3 brothers.
According to Mary’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held.
A memorial is being established in Mary’s name at the Calumet Public Library.
