Jeffrey M. Hoshal

Jeffrey M. Hoshal, 32 of LaPrairie, MN died on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, in his home.

Born on September 22, 1990, in Monticello, MN he was the son of Robert Hoshal and Shelly Ruuhela.  He grew up in Calumet and attended the Greenway Schools.

Jeff loved to cook, was a people person and enjoyed talking with others.  He was a smart guy, loved to teach and read.  He was always funny and cracking jokes but was also a little stubborn.  He struggled with mental health issues and depression, but he loved unconditionally with his whole heart.  He loved his nieces and nephews; he was a great uncle and was always there for his friends and family.  He also enjoyed playing cribbage with his Papa Mike and was passionate about music.

Survivors include his parents; Bob Hoshal and Shelly (Bob) Ruuhela, his siblings; Josh Hoshal, Jessica Hoshal, Madison Moe and Tom Ruuhela, his nieces and nephews; Dakota, Cora, Kingsley, Aurora, Hunter and Cash.  His grandparents; Mike (Lin) Marshall and Peggy (Dennis) James, and his aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, his Grandma Gail and beloved brother Dustin.

There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM on Friday, August 4, 2023, in the Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine. Please join the family afterwards for a celebration at the Greenway Snowmobile club in Calumet following the service.
