Harry was very involved with sports, especially baseball.  He coached every level of girls' fastpitch and slowpitch softball.  He was the assistant coach for over 20 years with Itasca Community College fastpitch, he volunteered coaching little league baseball, umping games, and just enjoyed helping the kids at all levels of the sport.  Harry also was a key part in the development and creation of the baseball fields in Lawrence Lake and Balsam. He was a member of the local bowling league for many years and kept a 200 average throughout his career.   His ultimate pastime though was fishing, especially with his oldest grandson, Zachary.
