Elsie F. (Andrews) Castle

           Elsie F. Castle, 83, Grand Rapids, died Sunday, October 6, 2024, in the Grand Itasca Hospital, Grand Rapids.

          Born November 2, 1940, in Grand Rapids, she was the daughter of Lyle and Ila (Buchite) Andrews.  Elsie was a lifelong Itasca County resident, had been an active bowler; loved fishing, hunting, racing, sewing, and knitting; and had been a driver and dispatcher for Arrowhead Transit.

          Her parents; children, Sherry Barsness and Chris Castle; and siblings, Eldon and Joanne preceded her in death.

          Survivors include her children, Edward Castle, Marvin C. (Cathy) Castle, Kathy Johnston, and Mervin ”Charlie” (Kori) Castle;  10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and siblings, Ellis (Karen) Andrews and Janice Card.

          There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the Lawrence Town Hall.  Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery of Coleraine.
