Ellenora Emma Martha (Polzin) Mattfield, 100, died on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 in the Grand Village, Grand Rapids.
She was born on October 22, 1916 in Becker County, MN, she was the daughter of Herman and Louisa (Schutte) Polzin. She married Roy Mattfield on February 25, 1933 in Bovey, MN. She was a homemaker, baking the best bread and apple pie. Her children, Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren and Great-great granddaughter were the essence of her life.
She is survived by her children; Dwayne (Nancy) Mattfield of Bemidji, MN and Peggy Bibich of Grand Rapids, MN. Grandchildren; Scott (Crystal) Mattfield of Bemidji, MN, Stuart (Heidi) Mattfield of Suffolk, VA, Shane (Amy) Mattfield of Bemidji, MN, Joe (Angie) Bibich of Grand Rapids, MN and Brandon (Erica) Bibich of Clearbrook, MN., 10 Great-granchildren and 1 Great-great Granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Roy H. Mattfield on July 23, 2004; three children, Eugene Mattfield, Terrance Mattfield and Suzanne Mattfield; son-in-law, Peter Bibich; Brothers, Otto, Art, Herman, Harold, Edward, Herb, George and Eddie; and Sisters, Josie, Mata and Anna.
