Donnalee (Bellefy) Johnson

          Donnalee Johnson, 75, Taconite, died Friday, March 2, 2018 in Essentia Health – St. Mary’s Medical Center, Duluth.

          Born October 15, 1942 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of Robert and Marie (Eule) Bellefy.  She was a graduate of Grand Rapids High School and Itasca Junior College.  Donnalee married the love of her life, Curt Johnson on June 1, 1963.  She was a member of the Taconite Auxiliary and worked Greenway High School sporting events for over 20 years.  She enjoyed her family, birdwatching, knitting, being outside, reading Ann Perry books, and her beloved dog “Scooby”.  She was her grandchildren’s biggest fan in the stands and attended all their activities.

          Her mother, Marie; brother, Tom; and nephew, Paul preceded her in death.

          Survivors include her husband, Curt; children, Maryellen (Kristi) Johnson of Calumet, Suzy (Jim) Olson of Grand Rapids, Denise (David) Stefan of Remer, and Jennifer (Tim) Endreson of Taconite; grandchildren, Meagan, Kayla, Ben, Jarod, Emily, and Ethan; great grandchild, Myah; father, Robert Bellefy of Grand Rapids; and brothers, Donald (Sharon) Bellefy of Deer River and Rusty (Dianne) Bellefy of Louisiana.

          Visitation will be 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service on Friday, March 30, 2018 in the Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine.  Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine.
