Donald A. Tracy, 78 of Marble, died on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth.
Born on April 14, 1947, in Rapid City, SD, he was the son of George and Virginia (Cheney) Tracy. He graduated from the Grand Rapids High School and was drafted into the army in 1966. He was honorably discharged in 1969 and later worked in the mines where he met Evelyn Swanson. They were married on July 6, 1976. Don attended Staples-Motley Technical College where he got a degree in Machining. He later worked at General Diesel & Electronics until his retirement. He loved working on cars with his brother-in-laws and was always tinkering in his garage. He was also talented wood and leatherworker who made homemade puzzles and belts. He loved late night coffee cruises but mostly Donald loved his wife, kids, and grandkids.
Survivors include his wife; Evelyn, his children; Lynne & Jim, Brian, Andy & Wendy, and Matt & Jonni.
Grandchildren; Danielle, Dana, Jessie, James, Michael, Kayla, Laura, Hanna, Tia, Joey, Sean, Tommy and 17 great grandchildren. Siblings; Betty Ann, Wendy, Carolyn, Bill and Kevin. Close family friend Janice Peterson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Gary, Lynn, Linda and Wendell.
