Daniel M. Noland, Sr.

Daniel M. Noland, Sr., 74, rural Grand Rapids, died Monday, October 17, 2022, in the Homestead Living Center, Deer River.

Born April 4, 1948, in Park Rapids, MN, he was the son of Eugene and Julie (Hill) Noland.  Dan was a truck driver, retiring about 20 years ago, had lived in the Lawrence Lake area, Marble, and Blackberry, and attended the Presbyterian Church.  Dan and Shirley Shofner were married on June 29, 1965, in Grand Rapids.

His parents, Eugene and Julie Noland; a son, Danny, Jr; a grandson, Christopher Ruuhela; and siblings, Davey Noland, Kathy Leesburg, and Elsie Longie preceded him in death.

Survivors include is wife, Shirley; daughters, Tammy (Gene) Senogles of Bovey, Wendy Smith of Greenville, OH, and Tina Sutherland of Grand Rapids; nine grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and a brother, Alton (Barb) Noland.

There will be a celebration of Life from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM Sunday, October 30, 2022, in the Blackberry Township Community Center; 25349 Dove Lane, Grand Rapids, MN.
