Carolyn T. (Prue) Frings, 81, formerly of Bovey and Mims, Florida, died Thursday, November 28, 2019 at the Margaret Dozier Hospice House in Tallahassee, Florida.
Born November 4, 1938 in Grand Rapids, she was the daughter of Chester and Bertha (Malmi) Prue. Carolyn was a graduate of Grand Rapids High School and had been an Administrative Assistant for the North Central Experiment Station with the University of Minnesota for many years. She had been a member of the Mary Immaculate Catholic Church of Coleraine, St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Titusville Florida, Degree of Honor and Toastmasters International. Carolyn and Richard J. Frings were married in Grand Rapids and had been residents of Cohasset, Bovey, and Mims, FL. She enjoyed travelling, crossword puzzles, card games, and comedy.
Her parents, Chester and Bertha Prue; her husband, Richard J. Frings on October 16, 2019; and an infant brother, Chester Charles Prue preceded her in death.
Survived by her children, Tamara (Mike) DelSonno of Farmington, MN, David (Jody) Frings of Lake Nebagamon, WI, Richard C. Frings of Vernal, UT, and Thomas (Paula) Frings of Carrabelle, FL; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and her sister, Beverly (Kenneth) Pentecost of Kentucky.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 in the Mary Immaculate Catholic Church of Coleraine. Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine. Arrangements are by the Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine.
