Carol Marie (Keena) McIntyre

          Carol Marie McIntyre, 91, Coleraine, died Thursday, February 6, 2025 in Home and Comfort, Coleraine.

          Born October 17, 1933 in Grafton, ND, Carol was one of eleven children born to Sheryl F. and Loretta R. (O’Hara) Keena.  Carol attended school in Hamilton, ND and Mayville State University Teacher’s College.  Carol and Richard C. McIntyre were married in 1957.  Carol had worked in the ASC office in Cavalier, ND, Carter Ringer and  Sunset Nursing Homes in Park Rapids, MN, and Fairview Range in Hibbing, MN, retiring at the age of 79.  Carol attended the First United Church of Coleraine and Bovey.

          Her parents; her husband, Richard C. McIntyre; brothers, Louis, Earl, Jack, Dale, and Harvey; and sisters, Betty Fay, and Jane preceded her in death.

          Survivors include her children, Cindy McIntyre, Brenda McIntyre, and Susan (Roger) Sperling; grandchildren, Amy (Brandon) Elsberry, Roger (Mikaela) Sperling and Aaron Sperling and Garrett Sperling; four great grandchildren, Audrina, Aaliyah and Cassie Elsberry, and Rodger McCoy Sperling, and two more on the way; sisters, Muriel Latozke and Bonnie Bill; and many nieces and nephews that knew her as “Aunt Bug.”

          The family wishes to thank Home and Comfort in Coleraine for her end of life care.
