Barbara "Barb" Ina (Mackey) Bibeau

          Barbara  “Barb”  Bibeau, 87, lifelong Nashwauk resident, died Monday, December 2, 2024, in The Emeralds of Grand Rapids.

          Born May 14, 1937, in Hibbing, she was the daughter of Leonard and Irene (Zardo) Mackey.  Barb was a graduate of the Nashwauk – Keewatin high school and was married to Charles R. Bibeau on July 6, 1955, in Grand Rapids.  A homemaker most of her life, she had also been a payroll clerk for the Hibbing hospital for almost 20 years.  She enjoyed snowmobiling, camping and going to the cabin on Big Balsam Lake.

          Her parents, Leonard and Irene Mackey; her Husband, Charles; a son-in-law, Vladimir “Butch” Pernar; and a brother, Richard Mackey preceded her in death.

          Survivors include her children, Michelle Pernar, Michael Bibeau and “Missy” (Kevin) Plemel; seven grandchildren, Luke Kovacic, Nicole Swam, Jenna Pernar, Jacob & Jason Bibeau and Joshua and Leigha Huffman; and seven great grandchildren.

           At Barb’s request, there will be no funeral services.  Interment will be in the Spring in the Balsam Cemetery.
