Anton C. "Tony" Truman, 82, longtime Lawrence Township resident, died Sunday, April 26, 2026, in his home.
Born January 29, 1944, in Walker, MN, he attended school in Longville and Bigfork and was a 1962 graduate of Bigfork High School. Anton lived most of his life in Itasca County, married Rebecca Gulso on April 9, 1966, in Balsam and had been an owner of B & T Excavating. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Military Police in Viet Nam. He was a member of the Hurlbut – Ziemer V.F.W. Post 476, Russo Golb Chapter #3 of the D.A.V., and had been active in the Swampsiders Snowmobile Club.
His parents, Clifford Worcester, Sr. and Ruby Worcester; a brother, Richard; and a nephew, James Truman preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Becky; daughters, Michelle (Jennifer) Truman, Lisa (Mike Farrell) VanBaalen, and Jennifer (Jake) Peterson; grandchildren, Erik (Irene), Joshua, Lucas (Ting), Elise, Frances, Lily (Nick), Sophia, and Mya; one great grandchild, Lewis; Ron (Bettina) Delich, loved as one of his own; and siblings, Eva (Robert) Bergstrom, Clifford (Julie) Worcester, Fay Jean (Carl) Luloff, Jeff (Marianne) Worcester, and Steve (Lori) Worcester; and several loving nieces and nephews.
