Stacey Renee Okerson-Walters

Stacey R. Okerson-Walters, 42, Nashwauk, died on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in her home.
Born April 22, 1975 in Grand Rapids, she was the daughter of Frederick and Barbara (Olson) Walters.  Stacey lived her life in Itasca County and in Nashwauk for nearly 30 years.  She had been a laboratory technician and loader operator for U.S. Steel.
Stacey was preceded in death by her father, Frederick Walters on August 30, 2017.
Survivors include her loving wife, Gayle Okerson-Walters; her son, Shelby (Michelle Nguyen) Walters of Newport News, VA; her step-son Ryan (Tina Thompson) Hvinden of Ellsworth, WI; her granddaughter, Layla Hvinden; her mother, Barbara and step-father Calvin Saari of Nashwauk; her mother-in-law, Susan Okerson of West St. Paul, MN; her father-in-law, Mark Okerson of Osceola, WI; and her brother, Jason (Kristen) Walters of Rogers, MN.
Visitation will be 12:00 Noon until the 1:00 PM funeral service on Friday, January 12, 2018 in the Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine.  Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Coleriaine.
