Richard David Nick

          Richard David Nick, 78, Pengilly, died Sunday December 24, 2017 at Range Fairview Medical Center in Hibbing.  He was born in Hibbing to Lawrence and Pauline (Bobich) Nick on October 5, 1939, was a United States Navy Veteran from 1957 to 1962.  He married Mary Ann Nelson in Grace Lutheran Church in Marble in September of 1962. He traveled extensively in connection with his employment as an Electrical Engineering Consultant, his favorite stop was Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. He enjoyed his truck, hats and golf courses including being a lifelong member of the Swan Lake Country Club. Richard was a member and former Elder of Grace Lutheran Church in Marble.
          He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, children Ruth (Rick) Ditty, Delano, MN, and their children Matthew and Rachel, Nancy (Brant Morris) Nick, Post Falls, Idaho, and her son Derek, and David Nick, Columbia, MO, and his children Elizabeth and Ryan, two great grandchildren Abigail and Drake, two brothers Robert (Jean) Nick, Marble and Arizona, and Roger (Donna) Nick, Pengilly and Arizona, and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers-in law and 3 sisters-in-law.
          Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am., Saturday December 30, 2017, in Grace Lutheran Church in Marble with visitation one hour before the service. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Coleraine. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association or alz.org.  Arrangements are with Peterson Funeral Chapel in Coleraine.
