Michael Lawrence Lukens

Michael L. Lukens, 56, Bovey, died on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at his home.
Born July 29, 1960 in Madison, WI, he was the son of Robert and Lucille (Espinosa) Lukens.  Michael had lived in New Mexico, Colorado, and was a resident of the Bovey area for over 30 years.  He was a graduate of Arvada High School in Arvada, CO, had been a carpenter for Stamson and Blair and later Hawk Construction, retiring in 2016.  Michael and Barbara Ann Medved were married on April 8, 2005 in Grand Rapids, MN.
His parents, Robert and Lucille Lukens and a brother, Richard preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Barb; children, D.J. (Jill) Smith of Valrico, FL and Christina (Fiancé Melvin Shannon) Smith of Coon Rapids, MN; grandchildren, Ryan and Joshua Smith, Kyler, Avont, Ezra, Liam, and Cyann; siblings, Anita Nelson, Nancie Seiberg, Bobbi Martin, Teresa Gorman, Kurtis Lukens, and Patrick Lukens; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service on Monday, July 10, 2017 in the Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine.  Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine.
