Lorraine F. (Lavalier) Andrews

Lorraine F. Andrews, 93 of Grand Rapids, MN died on Friday, November 8, 2019 in the Majestic Pines Assisted Living in Grand Rapids.

          Born February 26, 1926 in Lampson, WI, she was the daughter of Frank and Marie (Carlson) Lavalier. She graduated from Greenway High School in 1944, within two days, she was off to Washington to work for the War department. She married Donald Andrews on August 8, 1946. She worked as a Secretary/Clerk for St. Louis County. She was a charter member of the Legion Auxiliary Post 476, a member of a birthday club for over 70 years. She was a volunteer at the Hibbing Hospital and for the Special Olympics. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, crafts and playing cards, where she was a winner at cards until the age of 93. She enjoyed her family and friends.

          She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, her parents, and siblings, Wayne Lavalier and Jeanette Lavalier Chucker.

          She is survived by her sons; Michael (Pat) Andrews of Coleraine, MN, Gregory (Peggy) Andrews of White Bear Lake, MN and Bradley (Pat) Andrews of Virginia, MN. 10 Grandchildren, 19 Great-grandchildren and 1 Great-great granddaughter, and many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

          Visitation will be from 10:00-12:00 PM on Thursday, November 14, 2019 in the Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine. Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine.
