Julia Gustafson Obituary

          Julia “Julie” Mae Gustafson, 90, formerly of Grand Rapids, died Tuesday, March 12, 2019 in the Bigfork Valley Communities, Bigfork.

          Born November 28, 1928 in Seattle, WA, she was the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Jamerson) Marthini.  Julie was a homemaker and enjoyed painting, golf, lawn bowling, and gardening.  

          Her parents; her husband, Albert “Bud” Gustafson; a son, Dennis; brothers, Dave, Joe, Bill, Charles; her twin sister, Mary, and sister Sally preceded her in death.

          Survivors include her children, Trudie (Alfred) Burton of Bigfork, Diane (Arlan) Jensen of Hill City, and Rita (Mike) Perreault of Greenwood, ME; eight grandchildren; Tina, Tami, Trisha, Cindy, Adam, Christy, Ron, and Cindy; numerous great grand children and great great grandchildren; her siblings, Helen George and Tom (Sannia) Marthini, both of Washington; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Allenby, a special friend, Josie Moon of Washington; and her cat, Tiger.

          A celebration of life will be held from 1:00-4:00 PM, Sunday, May 19, 2019 in the Balsam Town Hall.  Interment will be in the Itasca – Calvary Cemetery, Grand Rapids.

          The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Bigfork Valley Communities for the excellent care given to Julie over the past years.
