Judith Ann (Joy) Brown

          Judith A. Brown, 76, Grand Rapids, MN formerly of Coleraine, died Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Essentia St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN.  She was born June 24, 1942 to Sylvester and Maryanne (Flatley) Joy in Grand Rapids.  Judy attended and graduated from Greenway schools.  A homemaker by trade, Judy enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her special friend Dave.  One of her greatest joys was not only raising her four children, but also raising her grandson, Rhyan Bogle.  Judy also enjoyed trips to Walmart and going to garage sales.

          She is survived by her children, Todd (Michelle) Brown, Blaine, MN, Jodi (Walter) Shadley, Cohasset, MN, and Lori Prebeg, Goodland, MN, siblings, William (Lydwine) Joy, Buckeye, AZ, and Vicki (Jon) Yeschick, Grand Rapids, MN, 11 grandchildren, Rhyan, Stacy, Tara, Tawni, Taylor, Britney, Zach, Kaley, Heidi, Tricia, and Daniel, 12 great-grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews.

          She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynne Brown in 1985, parents, former husband, Dennis Brown, and an infant sister.

          A gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of Judy will be 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, Friday, May 3, 2019 at Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine.  A luncheon will follow at the Loyal Order of the Moose in Grand Rapids, MN from 2-5pm, everyone is invited to attend.  Arrangements are with Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine.
