Ethel A (Jacobson) Spawn

Ethel A. Spawn, 85, Grand Rapids, MN, died Friday, July7, 2017 in the Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital.  She was born Dec. 19, 1931 in Bovey, MN to John and Helga Jacobson.  Ethel was a quiet and humble person who spent her life caring for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Her favorite times were with family.  On occasion, she loved to go to a local bar where she could try her luck with pull tabs and enjoy a beer.  She was the last child from a family of 14.
She is survived by her children: David (Karen) Spawn of Hibbing, MN, Robert (Christy) Spawn of Grand Rapids, MN, Timothy (Sandy) Spawn of Duluth, MN, Gail (Randy) O’Gorman of Goodland, MN and Brenda “Chrissy” (Ron) Keske of Grand Rapids.; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Besides her siblings, she was preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Jo Spawn.
Visitation will be from 2:00 until the 3:00 Funeral Service on Thursday, July 13, 2017 in the Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine. Interment will be in the Goodland Cemetery at a later date.
