Delores J. (Plautz) McDonald

          Delores J. McDonald, 97 of Pengilly, MN died on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 in the Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital.

          Born on June 6, 1922 in Denhoff, North Dakota, she was the daughter of William L and Mary A. (Heffernan) Plautz. She married Charles W. McDonald on January 29, 1945, they were married just shy of 75 years, and she was very proud of raising her family.

          She is survived by her husband Charles W. McDonald of Pengilly; children, David (Mary) McDonald of Bovey, Michael (Debra) McDonald of Bovey, Jerome (Kathy) McDonald of Star Prairie, WI, Marilyn LaRock of Pengilly, Robert McDonald of Pengilly, Jean (Roger) Pride of Pengilly, Mark McDonald of Lithia, FL, Judith McDonald and Timothy McDonald both of Bovey, daughter-in-law Shirley McDonald of Bovey. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

          She was preceded in death by her parents, William L. and Mary A. (Heffernan) Plautz, a son; James McDonald in 2007, a grandson Eric McDonald and a step-granddaughter; LaDonna Upchurch, 11 siblings; Louis, Josephine, John, unknown twins, Ellen, James, Charles, Marie, Bernard and Mary Ann.

          Visitation will be from 10:00-11:45 AM on Saturday, January 18, 2020 in the Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine. Mass of Christian burial will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, January 18, 2020 in the Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Coleraine. Interment will be in the Trout Lake Lakeside Cemetery, Trout Lake Township, MN.
