David Dotlich, 82, passed away February 20, 2018 from Parkinson's disease. He was born March 3, 1935 in Bovey, Minnesota to Mike and Sophie (Revoir) Dotlich.
He lived most of his life in Bovey, and was a U.S. Army Veteran, worked as a tool and die designer and retired from the mines.
David played football and hockey for Greenway High School and was a fixture at the 50's reunions. He loved golfing and was always a familiar site tooling around on his golf cart from Bovey to the Eagle Ridge Golf Course. He also enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings and attending local hockey games.
David was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Zorka Berger, Mirko, Stephen, George, Sophie Evanoff, Silvia Kempf, Marko and Donald.
He is survived by his children Kimberly Thompson, Grand Rapids, MN; Cindy Dotlich, Spofford, NH; David Dotlich, Jr. Atlanta, GA; grand children Zachary (Kelsey) Thompson, KayLa (Mike) Goodman, Brandon Byer; great grandchildren Cobie Goodman, Marko Goodman, Jace (Thompson) Hanson and Archer Thompson; and many nieces and nephews. He was quite a guy and will be greatly missed not only by his family, but also his dearest friends, the Bovey Boys and anyone that knew him.
The family of David Dotlich would like to thank the staff of Grand Village Nursing Home, Grand Rapids, MN and the wonderful Angels of the Hospice team.
At the request of David there will be no services, however, his family would like to have a Celebration of Life in the Spring.
