Daryll Wayne Robertson

          Daryll W. Robertson, 78, died on Friday, February 23, 2018 in Marble.

          Born April 28, 1939 in Grand Rapids, he was the son of Walter “Ernie” and Violet (Sanders) Robertson.  He grew up in Pengilly, graduated from Nashwauk High School, and lived most of his life in Marble.  Daryll and Betsey Valtinson were married on February 7, 1959 in Grand Rapids.  Daryll was a member of the St. Andrews Lutheran Church of Grand Rapids, was a U. S. Navy Veteran, had worked for J. & L. Mining Company, had been a tour guide at the Hill Annex Mine State Park, and had been active in the Marble Civic Club, and Scouting.

          His parents and a “grandson” Aaron Taylor preceded him in death.

        Survivors include his wife, Betsey; children, Brent Robertson and Lynne (Dick) Anderson, both of Marble, Gina (Jerry) Swanson of Nashwauk, and Tammy (Bill) Ruesink of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Ron, Amanda, Jessica, Brandyn, Kaelyn, Brian, Adam, Gabrielle, and Rick; eleven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; a brother, Dallas “Tim” Robertson of Hermiston, OR; and son-in-law, Ron Predovich, Sr.

    Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, March 1, 2018 in the Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine, and will continue from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service on Friday, March 2, 2018 in the St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Grand Rapids.  Interment will be in the Itasca – Calvary Cemetery, Grand Rapids.
