Claudette M. Bluntach, 68 of Balsam Township, died Wednesday, July 17, 2019 in her home, with family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born August 28, 1950 in Marshalltown, IA, the daughter of Claude and Margaret (Behrens) Baker, Jr. She grew up in rural Iowa, moving to Minnesota in 1993. She married Neal Bluntach on April 14, 1995. She was a homemaker and took care of everyone she could, including her grandkids. She loved flowers, camping, sewing and playing cards with the girls, and loved her dogs very much. She enjoyed garage sales and antiques. She always looked forward to family get togethers, especially the 4th of July at the resort.
Survivors include her husband Neal Bluntach, daughter Jerrell (Ryan) Ackerman, and son Ryan Bluntach all of Balsam Township. 3 Grandchildren; Austin, Emma and Autumn Bluntach, her brother; Charles “Chuck” (Shirley) Baker of Union, IA and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother John Baker, a nephew Mark Baker, and an infant niece.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the 11:30 AM Funeral Service on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 in the Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine. Interment will be in the Balsam Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine.
