Linda Lee Booth, 81, rural Grand Rapids, died Thursday, February 22, 2024, in the Grand Itasca Hospital, Grand Rapids.
Born December 2, 1942, in Bemidji, MN, she was the daughter of Lee and Myrell (Smith) Antle. A longtime Itasca County resident, Linda was a member of the Bethel-Trinity Lutheran Church, its quilting guild, where she helped with the making of many quilts that were donated both locally and internationally, and the Women of the ELCA. She served as Secretary of the Women of the ELCA and was a longtime member of the Arrowhead Library Board. Linda was a very active advocate for survivors of sexual abuse and was a public speaker on the subject. She was an avid square dancer for 45 years, an active reader, belonged to various motorcycle clubs, and traveled coast to coast on her bike. Linda and Richard Booth were married on May 28, 1966. Linda and Richard hosted three foreign exchange students over the years, and they were still like family to her.
Survivors include her husband, Richard of rural Grand Rapids; children, Roy C. (Cynthia) Booth of Bemidji and Laura Friday (Brian Wallner) Thorn of Madison, WI; grandchildren, Riordan, Rex, and Revelin Booth, Cody (Ricki) Bennett, and Emma Wallner; two great grandchildren, Ciera and Mylo Bennett; two sisters-in-law, Jean Jaranson and Jeri Belchner of Side Lake; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service on Monday, February 26, 2024, in the Bethel-Trinity Lutheran Church, Bovey. Interment will be in Bemidji at a later date.
