Florence L. (Ortley) Williams

Florence Leona (Dolly) Williams passed away of natural causes in the early morning hours of January 11, 2024 at Grand Village in Grand Rapids. She was 86 years old.

          Dolly was born on January 27, 1937 to Florence (LeDoux) and David Ortley in Grand Rapids. She was raised in the Snowball area and was a 1955 graduate of Greenway High School. Dolly was a longtime resident of Marble where she raised her children. She loved to watch her grandchildren grow up, and enjoyed playing bingo at the Pengilly Community Center.

          Survivors include her children; Jeff (Lori) Williams of Pengilly, MN, Joni (Rick) Greniger of Blackberry, MN and Jason (Cherie) Williams of Marble, MN, 5 Grandchildren; Shane (Cailey) Greniger, Crystal (Corey) Fitzgerald, Brandon (Brianna) Williams, Fayth Williams and Logan Williams. Her 7 Great-grandchildren; Kendall Greniger, Freddy, Maggie and Baby Fitzgerald, Bradlee, Briar, and Brynlee Williams, and a sister; Doreen Wojcik of Chicago, IL.

          She was preceded in death by her parents Florence and David Ortley and a sister, Shirley Emmel of Oak Forest, IL.

          Per Dolly’s request she is to be cremated by Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine and interred beside her mother in Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine, MN. There will be no service or visitation.
