Elinor "Nora" L. (Kaisto) Bellefy

          Elinor L. “Nora” Bellefy, 87 of Taconite, MN, died on Monday, March 11, 2024,

in Taconite.

          Born on February 23, 1937, in Keewatin, MN, she was the daughter of Hugo and Allie (Heikkila) Kaisto.  She married Wallace Bellefy on April 7, 1956, in Coleraine.  She was a member of the Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Bovey, the American Legion Axillary post 301 and the Elderly Club in Taconite.  Nora enjoyed bingo, camping, cards, bunko, pickling, making jams, garage saling and taking trips to the casino to gamble.  She was a wonderful cook and homemaker, raising 5 boys.  She enjoyed wintering in Laughlin, AZ, and also drove down to Chicago to visit family.  Nora loved her flowers and birdwatching, especially hummingbirds.

          Survivors include her children; Richard (Jill) Bellefy, Scott Bellefy and Chris (Erin) Bellefy and a daughter-in-law; Linda Bellefy.  Grandchildren; Paige (Derek) Bruyere, Morgan (Andrew) Grooms, Katy (Quinton) Chervinko, Alex, Grace, Tom and Dan.  Great-grandchildren; Chloe, Jayden, Millie, Maverick and Greta and numerous nieces and nephews.

          She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wallace, two sons; Ronald and Michael Bellefy, and a granddaughter; Faith Miltich and 10 siblings.

          Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Funeral Service on Saturday, March 23, 2024, in the Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Bovey.  Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine.
