Marilynn was a very talented lady. She gave my boys and some grandchildren piano lessons..I even played a duet with her, and I had not played the piano in ages. She encouraged me and told me I could do that and I did! I will miss her friendly "hi, how are you doing?" Prayers for the family.

Marilyn was a good friend of my family for many years. She was my choir director when I attended Itasca Community College. It was always fun to talk to her when I visited Coleraine and attended First United Church. She was a great musician and always encouraged her students to learn new and difficult music.

I am in total shock to hear of Marilyn's passing. We grew up together (about one mile apart) on farms outside of Ida Grove, Iowa. We both went to Drake University and each had degrees in music and were teachers in that field. I have been trying to contact her
for weeks and finally decided to check your local paper. I have many, many wonderful
memories of so many events in the years we knew one another. My heart is saddened
by this news.

Marilyn was my cousin (her mother & my dad were siblings). A friend & HS classmate of hers just called me & he told me of her death.I am profoundly saddened by the news & wondering why neither Ted nor Jim had the decency to contact me. I loved Mari & we enjoyed a very good relationship. I am sending sincere condolences to Ted, Brianna & Bailey.
